ode on solitude

"Ode on Solitude(એકાંત) " is a poem that expresses the beauty and tranquility શાંતિ of being alone in nature.

Happy the man, whose wish and care

એ વ્યક્તિ બધાથી ખુશી છે, જેની ઈચ્છા અને ચિંતા limited છે.

 A few paternal acres bound(બંધાયેલ),

એના  પિતા તરફથી મળેલી જમીન (ખુશ છે)

 Content (satisfied) to breathe his native air, 

In his own ground.

પોતાની જમીન પર

જે વ્યક્તિ પોતાની જન્મભૂમિ ઉપર શ્વાસ લઈ શકે તે ખુદને સંતુષ્ટ માને છે. (Home ),(Food)

Whose (જેમની) herds (ટોળાં) with milk, whose fields with bread,

જેને ગાય/ ભેસ એને ટાઈમ ટુ ટાઈમ દૂધ આપે છે, અને એનું ખેતર અનાજ થી ભરેલું હોય.

 Whose flocks (ઘેટા -બકરાનું ઊન) supply him with attire, (પોશાક) 

એની પાસે રહેલા ઘેટા -બકરા એને ઉન થી બનેલા કપડા આપે છે.

Whose trees in summer yield (ઉપજ) him shade,

જ્યારે એના વૃક્ષો ગરમીના(ઉનાળામાં) સમયમાં તેને છાયુ આપે છે 

 In winter fire.

શિયાળામાં તેના લાકડાને બાળીને ગરમી મળે છે

Blest, who can unconcernedly find

જે વ્યક્તિ કોઈપણ ચિંતા કર્યા વગર જીવે છે તે વ્યક્તિ  bless છે

 Hours, days, and years slide soft

 away,

ધીરે ધીરે આરામથી પસાર થઈ રહ્યા છે

 In health of body, peace of mind, l

Quiet by day,

શારીરિક રીતે સ્વસ્થ હોય,  મગજથી શાંત હોય & શાંતિથી એના દિવસે પસાર થઈ રહ્યા હોય.

Sound sleep by night;

 study and ease, 

જેને રાતે બરોબર રીતે ઊંઘ આવતી હોય,જેનું જીવન hard work & relaxation પસાર થઈ  રહી હોય.

Together mixed; sweet recreation;

hard work & relaxation માં જીવન પસાર થઈ રહ્યું હોય,        નવું નવું સર્જન કરવામાં આનંદ અનુભવે છે

 And innocence, which most does please, With meditation.

એની અંદર simplicity,

અને purity  રહેલી છે.

મેડીટેશન પણ કરી શકે.

Thus let me live, unseen, unknown;

હું આવી રીતના જ જીવા માગું છું,

કોઈ મને જુએ નહીં ,

અને કોઈ મને જાણે નહીં

 Thus unlamented (person who has died) let me die; 

અને જ્યારે હું મરી જાવ ત્યારે કોઈ  રડે નહીં.

Steal from the world, and not a stone Tell where I lie.

જ્યારે હું આ દુનિયાથી દૂર જતો રહું ત્યારે , મારી કબર ઉપર કોઈ પથ્થર પણ ન હોય કે જે એવું કહી શકે કે હું અહીંયા મરેલો છું

The canonization

Canonization means officially making someone a saint in the Catholic Church. It involves checking if the person lived a very holy life and investigating any miracles attributed આભારી to them. The Church studies their life and miracles ચમત્કારો carefully, and if everything is confirmed, they declare the person a saint. This means people can honor સન્માન and pray to this new saint.

For God's sake hold your tongue, and let me love,

 (ભગવાન માટે તમારી જીભ ઉપર કાબુ રાખો મને લવ કરવા દો) 

Or chide(વાંક કાઢવો / મજાક ઉડાવો) my palsy ( લકવો), or my gout(સંધિવા),

(કા પછી મારો મજાક ઉડાવો લકવો થવાના કારણે અને સંધિવા ના કારણે)

My five gray hairs (सफ़ेद बाल) , or ruined (तबाह) fortune flout (બદનામ), 

With wealth your state(સ્થિતિ), your mind with arts improve,

 તમારી જે સ્થિતિ છે તે પૈસાથી સુધરી જશે,  મગજથી arts improve

Take you a course, get you a place, 

એ તમને જ્ઞાન આપે તેવું શીખવશો , તે જ્ઞાનથી તમને રહેવા માટે જગ્યા મળશે

Observe his honor(સન્માન) , or his grace (કૃપા) , 

અમીર લોકો કઈ રીતે બીજાને સન્માન આપે છે અને કૃપાદ્રષ્ટિ દર્શાવે છે તેને તમે જુઓ

Or the king's real, or his stamped face (अंकित चेहरा) 

તું એવું વિચારી લે  કે તું ખરેખર રાજા છું અથવા નોટ ઉપર તારો face છે

Contemplatey (ચિંતન) ; what you will, approve,

તો આમાંથી તું કઈ વસ્તુ નો સ્વીકાર કરીશ

 So you will let me love.

પરંતુ મને લવ કરવા દો

Alas, alas,( અરે) who's injured by my love?

(શું કોઈ એવું છે કે જેને મારા લવ થી ઈજા પહોંચે છે) 

 What merchant's ships have my sighs( size)( નિસાસો) drowned (ડૂબી ગયો) ?

શું અહીંયા કોઈ એવો વ્યાપારી છે કે મારા નિસાસ નાખવાથી તેઓના જહાજ ડૂબી ગયા છે

Who says my tears have overflowed(ઉભરાવું)his ground?

કા પછી હું જે રડું છું એ રડવાથી કોઈના ખેતરમાં . પૂર આવી ગયો છે

 When did my colds (પોલાઇટ નેચર) a forward spring remove? 

પોએટ નો જે સ્વભાવ છે  એના કારણે કોઈ ઋતુ અથવા તો સિઝન એના ટાઈમસર નહીં આવી હોય

When did the heats (ગરમ કરે છે)which my veins (નસો) fill

 કા પછી મારી નસો ની અંદર રહેલી ગરમી એ 

Add one more to the plaguy bill?

 મહામારી ને જાન લેવા બનાવી દીધો છે

Soldiers find wars, and lawyers find out still (હજુ પણ) 

સૈનિકને યુદ્ધ ગમે છે, વકીલ એવા લોકો ને શોધી લેશે છે જે વધારે લડાઈ કરે છે

 Litigious( કાનૂની)men, which quarrels move,

Though(જોકે) she and I do love.

Call us what you will, we are made such by love; 

તારે અમને જે કેવું હોય તે તું કે, અમને તો અમારા પ્રેમ એ આવો બનાવ્યો છે.

Call her one, me another fly.

એક કીડા એને કયો, અને બીજો કીડા મને કયો

We're tapers (પતલી કેન્ડલ )too, and at our own cost die, 

અમે મીણબત્તી છીએ, જે પોતાના જ સ્વભાવને લીધે ગળી જાય છે અથવા ખતમ થઈ જાય છે

And we in us find the eagle (ગરુડ) and the dove(કબૂતર).

અને અમે બંને એકબીજાની અંદર ગરુડ            ( શિકારી )અને કબૂતર ની રીતે જોઈએ છે.

The phoenix riddle(કોયડો) hath પાસે more wit (વિચારવા જેવી છે) 

આ પક્ષીનું જ્યારે મૃત્યુ થાય છે ત્યારે તે બળી જાય છે , અને વધેલી રાખ માંથી તેનો ફરી જન્મ થાય છે

By us; we two being one, are it. 

So, to one neutral (તટસ્થ  )thing both sexes fit.

અમે એવી તટસ્થ વસ્તુ બની જશો જેમાં બંનેનું શરીર એકમમાં સમાયું જશે.

We die and rise the same, and prove

આવી જ રીતે અમે મરી  જસુ અને ફરી જીવિત  થશુ

 Mysteriou (રહસ્યમયs) by this love.

We can die by it, if not live by love,

જો અમે લવ ના કારણે જીવી નથી શકતા,  તો લવ ના કારણે અમે મરી  જશુ.

And if unfit for tombs (કબરો) and hearse (સાંભળવું)

અમારા મરી ગયા પછી કોઈ અમારી માટે કબર નહીં બનાવે

જરૂરી નથી કે અમારી દંત કથા બધાને સંભળાવવામાં આવશે.

Our legend (દંતકથા) be, it will be fit for verse;કવિતા

પરંતુ પોઈટરી ની અંદર અમે ફિટ થઈ  જશુ  અથવા અમે એને લાયક છીએ.

And if no piece of chronicle (historical events) we prove,

જરૂરી નથી કે અમારી માટે મોટી મોટી વાતો લખવામાં આવે

We'll build in sonnets pretty rooms;

સોનેટ ની અંદર જ અમે રૂમ બનાવી લઈશું

As well a well-wrought (સારી રીતે બનાવેલ) urn( કલશ) becomes

જેવી રીતે કોઈ સન્માનિત વ્યક્તિની અસ્થિઓ   કલર્સ માં મૂકી દેવામાં આવે છે. એવી જ રીતે અમે પણ ખુદને સન્માનિત ફીલ કરીશું 

The greatest ashes (રાખ) , as half-acre tombs,

જ્યારે અમને poetry ના સ્વરૂપમાં વાંચવામાં આવશે. જેવી રીતે સન્માનિત વ્યક્તિ  ને  હાફ એકર  ની કબ્રહમાં મૂકવામાં આવે છે

And by these hymns સ્તોત્રો, all shall approve

અને આ બધી poems,  રીડર આપણને કેનોનાઈ એપ્રૂવ કરશે.

Us canonized for Love.

સાચા લવ ના કારણે સંત બની ગયા છે.

રીડર આપણને બોલાવશે અથવા તો યાદ કરશો "તેઓ આપણા લવને આદર થી યાદ કરશો

Made one another's hermitage;સંન્યાસી

તમે એકબીજા માટે સંન્યાસી બની ગયા હતા

You, to whom love was peace, that now(હાલનો સમય) is rage;(angry) 

તમે બંને જીવિત હતા ત્યારે તમારો લવ શાંતિનો પ્રતીક હતો જ્યારે હવે તે ગુસ્સા નું કારણ બની ગયું છે.

Who did the whole world's soul contract કરાર, and drove ચલાવ્યું

આ દુનિયાની જે બધી આત્માઓ છે તે પ્યોર રહી નથી

Into the glasses of your eyes

(So made such mirrors, and such spies,જાસૂસો 

That they did all to you epitomize be a perfect example)

અને તે તારો લવ આ દુનિયામાં એવી રીતે ફેલાવ્યો છે કે લોકો  તેની જેમ લવ કરવા માંગે છે આ એક આદર્શ લવ હતો  જુદી જુદી જગ્યાએ જાસુ  love ગોતી રહ્યા છે,  અરીસામાં સાચો લવ શોધી શક.

દેશ શહેર અને કોર્ટ બધા લોકો મન્નત માને  તમારી જે લવ કરવાની પેટર્ન છે  એને અમે ફોલો કરવા માગીએ છીએ.
