How Much Land Does a Man Need?:-
"How Much Land Does a Man Need?" by Leo Tolstoy is a story that teaches us about the dangers of greed and the consequences of never being satisfied with what we have.
The story begins with a peasant named Pahom, who hears about a tribe āŠāŠĶિāŠાāŠĪિ of Bashkirs that is willing to sell him as much land as he can walk around in one day for a small sum of money. Pahom is excited and starts his journey early in the morning, marking the land with his footsteps as he goes. He becomes greedy and tries to cover as much land as possible, going farther and farther.
As the day goes on, Pahom becomes exhausted and realizes that he has gone too far. He rushes back to the starting point, but his heart gives out, and he dies on the land he desired so much. In the end, Pahom's greed leads to his death, and he only gets enough land to bury himself.
The lesson in this story is that excessive āŠ
āŠĪિāŠķāŠŊ greed and a constant desire for more can lead to our downfall. It's important to be content with what we have and not let our desires control us, as the pursuit āŠŠીāŠો of material wealth can have dire āŠāŠŊંāŠāŠ° consequences.
